SCOTT DURHAM – CEO
Mr. Durham is a proud alum of Bowling Green State University, having graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. He embarked on his professional career at HKM, starting as an Account Services Representative, and has since ascended the ranks to hold key leadership positions within the organization, including roles as Account Services Manager, Vice President of Administration, COO, and currently serves as CEO.
With a proven record of success, Mr. Durham has demonstrated his prowess by managing top accounts, achieving the title of top sales producer at HKM, while playing a pivotal role in the development of new products and market verticals, contributing significantly to the company’s
growth and success.
Mr. Durham has served as a Board Member, Commodore, and Membership Chair of the Cleveland Yachting Club, highlighting his leadership and commitment to his peers. Furthermore, he has contributed his expertise to the board of trustees at Providence House, a notable Cleveland non-profit organization dedicated to supporting abused and abandoned children.
Residing in Bay Village Ohio, Mr. Durham shares a 34-year marriage with his wife Mary Alyce, with whom he raised a daughter and a son.
ROB DURHAM – PRESIDENT
Rob graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1980 with a BA in Speech/Communications and Economics/Management. He started his career in the Group Employee Benefits business working for Great West Life as a Group Sales Representative and for Lincoln National as a Manager of Employee Benefits. He joined HKM in 1985 as the company’s Sales Manager and was later promoted to Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Rob is now the President of HKM Direct Market Communications and is also the Managing Partner of Cleveland-based DirectConnectGroup, a national, full-service marketing, printing, mailing, fulfillment, distribution, and internet communications company. Rob has been active in the Graphic Arts industry for 39 years.
Outside of his business career, Rob strongly believes in helping others, volunteerism, and philanthropy. Rob is a past member of the Cleveland Alzheimer’s Association Board of Directors which he served for 20 years. Rob has served as the chair and is a lifetime board member of the MetroHealth Foundation, Cleveland’s Level 1 Trauma hospital. Rob has served as a board member of the Gordon Square Arts District and on the Executive Committee for the American Heart Association’s Heart and Stroke Ball and is now serving as the Chair of the Board for Northern Ohio. Rob has also served on the Alumni Board of Ohio Wesleyan University. Rob has supported the stewardship campaign for the Federated Church in Chagrin Falls for years.
In addition to his philanthropic efforts, he has served on a number of professional industry and social boards throughout his career. He has been recognized by many organizations for his various accomplishments.
On the personal side, Rob has been married to his wife Liz for 43 years and has two adult daughters and four grandchildren. He lives in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
CARLA BROUMAN BAILEY – VICE PRESIDENT, SALES AND MARKETING
Carla is a dynamic leader who has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth and innovation. Starting her journey with HKM in 2001 as an Account Executive, Carla quickly established herself as a top performer, consistently delivering exceptional sales results by providing stellar service and delivering comprehensive marketing web solutions to large corporations. Promoted to her current role in 2022, Carla oversees the sales team and spearheads all marketing efforts, while continuing to personally manage a significant portfolio. Her expertise in both sales and marketing, coupled with her ability to build and nurture strong client relationships, has been pivotal in elevating HKM’s market presence and expanding its reach. Carla’s leadership is marked by a strategic vision that not only enhances sales performance but also promotes community engagement, positioning HKM as a leader in both the industry and the communities it serves.
Besides her strong commitment to her work and charitable endeavors, Carla is passionate about animals and has five dogs and four cats. She enjoys expressing her creativity through cooking, entertaining, decorating and karaoke while valuing quality time with family and friends.
CARA BRUCE – VICE PRESIDENT, DIRECT MARKETING
Cara possesses over 16 years of experience in driving successful marketing initiatives. She has been pivotal in cultivating key business relationships with leading financial services and healthcare companies, fueling the company’s growth.
Cara believes in thoughtful planning, collaboration, and empathy as the foundation of strong teams and partnerships. She is dedicated to ensuring that client initiatives meet the highest quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget. Her client-centric approach and expertise in variable data programming and mailing has consistently fostered successful business relationships.
As a Green Belt in Six Sigma, Cara is passionate about refining processes and implementing product and service developments that deliver measurable results. Cara has recently been learning as much as she can about AI to further enhance internal processes and add value to client offerings.
Outside of work, Cara enjoys live music, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.
ROB LANG – DIRECTOR, IT, PROGRAMMING AND PROCESSING
With over 24 years of experience in the direct marketing and print industry, including more than 16 years at HKM, Rob has made substantial contributions to HKM’s company’s success. He has a key role in increasing account growth through nurturing customer confidence and has efficiently reduced postage costs by managing client data. Rob has also designed custom data processes for variable campaigns, showcasing his innovative problem-solving skills. Additionally, he is a vital member of both HKM’s safety and security teams, ensuring a secure and compliant work environment. His extensive experience and leadership have been instrumental in driving HKM’s continued success.
LINDSAY LONGSWORTH – VICE PRESIDENT, HUMAN RESOURCES
Lindsay brings a fresh, people-centered approach to the organization. Known for her venturesome spirit, Lindsay sees HR as more than policies and paperwork; she champions employee well-being, growth, and the overall success of the organization. Her strategic vision places HR at the core of HKM’s objectives, ensuring that talent acquisition, performance management, and diversity initiatives align seamlessly with our business goals.
Lindsay is also a dedicated listener, attuned to each employee’s unique story. She breaks down barriers to create fair opportunities and fosters a supportive, inclusive culture that empowers everyone at HKM. BILL MORTENSEN – VICE PRESIDENT, ACCOUNT SERVICE
With an impressive 40 years of industry experience, Bill stands as a pillar of expertise and leadership within our organization. His extensive background uniquely positions him to provide exceptional oversight for a team of dynamic Account Service professionals, who manage a diverse array of client accounts.
Bill’s depth of knowledge and understanding is unparalleled, making him an invaluable asset to both the Account Service and production teams. His daily interactions ensure that all programs flow seamlessly, creating a collaborative and efficient work environment.
In his role, Bill works closely with our Team Leaders to maintain high levels of engagement and productivity across all parties. He is also responsible for conducting thorough employee assessments, ensuring that our team consistently meets and exceeds performance standards.
Beyond his supervisory duties, Bill manages an impressive account load demonstrating his ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on account management. His commitment to excellence and his strategic approach to account management have earned him the respect and admiration of both colleagues and clients alike.
CRISTINA NORTON – DIRECTOR, FINANCE
Cristina Norton has been a vital part of HKM for over 15 years and currently serves as the Director of Finance, a role she has held for the past two years. Originally from Romania, Cristina moved to the USA during college, where she began her career in accounting. Her comprehensive experience spans across accounts payable, receivables, and month-end operations, equipping her with strong problem-solving skills. As Director, she leads the accounting, finance, and billing teams, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Cristina has played a key role in transitioning HKM to electronic files and cloud-based solutions, continuously working to automate processes and improve efficiency. Her dedication to her team and deep understanding of the company’s internal operations have been instrumental in HKM’s ongoing success.
GREG WLOSZEK – VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS
Greg has been the cornerstone of our printing plant and operations for a remarkable 45 years. As the head of production operations and facilities management, Greg oversees the daily responsibilities that ensure our plant runs smoothly and efficiently. His dedication and expertise have been instrumental in maintaining the high standards of our operations.
Throughout his tenure at HKM, Greg has actively participated in numerous technological advancements, driving innovation and efficiency within the plant. His commitment to excellence and continuous improvement has not only enhanced our production capabilities but also set a benchmark for industry standards.
With a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the intricacies of printing operations, Greg is a respected leader and mentor to many. His unwavering dedication and passion for the job have made him an invaluable asset to our team and a true pillar of our organization.
